Describe your favourite festival – Opisz swoje ulubione święto – angielski

In Poland there are a lot of festivals, but the most popular and my favourite festival is Christmas. It is on 25 December and lasts two days. We celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Our preparation before Christmas starts in December. We buy presents, send Christmas cards and tidy our house.

Few days before Christmas we store Christmas tree. It is a very special moment.

On Christmas Eve the whole family meet and feast together. We have twelve meals and share presents. Before midnight we go to the church for a mass.

The next day we feast and spend time together. Eating, watching films and talking  – I love it! My grandmother can prepare delicious meals!

And during the last day of Christmas I always visit my old uncle. He is very lucky to see me and my family. We always go for a walk and just have a rest.

I think that Christmas is the best festival in Poland.
